Free Math Practice Sessions

Math Practice Sessions will begin next week. You may come get extra practice, prepare for a quiz or test, or get a skill or concept taught to you in small group fashion. Bring a friend if you'd like to. Math Practice Sessions begin at 7:00 AM on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Mrs. Auger will meet you at the front entrance.

Yearbook Sales

Keep your memories for this school year alive forever by buying a yearbook. Yearbooks are on sale at yearbookordercenter.com...school code 17035 for $35 until April 20th. We will have a VERY limited amount available at the end of the school year. They sell out fast every year, so get yours before the deadline!

Office and Library Aides

Attention all Current 7th graders On Monday, March 25th, there will be sign up forms in the guidance office for any 7th grade student interested in becoming a library or office aide, for the 2019-2020 school year. Opportunities exist for both HIJH as well as Fall Creek Junior High. Students MUST have grades of C or higher in all of their classes to be considered. We are looking for motivated, responsible, dependable and trustworthy students for these positions. Teachers will be asked to make recommendations. Please note that only about 30 positions will be available and we will not be able to place everyone who signs up. If interested please sign up by Friday, April 19th.

FAP Peer Tutoring

Current 7th Graders Interested in Peer Tutoring Next Year. For an entire period every day for a semester, peer tutors will work with special education students in the FAP classroom. Peer tutors help with academic instruction, monitoring student success, playing games, or may accompany them to their electives, such as art or PE. Peer tutors must be flexible and a continual positive influence during their period of service each day. The peer tutor class will be in place of a semester elective class. Tutors will receive a semester grade and elective credit for their peer tutor service. If you are interested in this wonderful opportunity to serve, please pick up a peer tutor information form in the guidance office. All applications are due by Friday, April 19th.

Photography Contest

Don't forget to pick up information and entry forms from any Art teacher for this year's Tri-Kappa Photography Contest. Shoot pictures over break, and turn in the prints to an Art teacher NO LATER THAN Thursday, April 18! Remember, there is a $50 prize for each of 5 categories!

7th Grade Washington DC fundraiser

Attention all 7th graders: If you could not attend the Washington DC informational meeting last week and would like some information on the fundraiser opportunity please see Mr. Brown some time this week.

Panther Pride Geist 5K Team

Are you planning on running or walking the Geist 5K or half marathon this year? If so, join the Panther Pride Geist 5K team and run with your fellow Panthers! By joining the school team you will receive a discounted registration fee, a race t-shirt, and race proceeds come back to support student programs here at HIJH! Join the fun! Registration information can be found outside Mrs. Mockler's room, Mrs. Bradshaw's room or in the main office.

Fishers HS Boys Soccer Call-Out Meeting

The Fishers HS Boys Soccer Program is having a spring call-out meeting on Tuesday, March 26th from 6-7pm. The meeting will take place in Cafe A at Fishers High School. All returning, new high school and incoming freshmen players and parents should plan to attend. We will discuss summer training and fall try out/season plans. Contact Coach Schmidt at pschmidt@hse.k12.in.us for more information.

Book Club

Just a heads up that 5/6 Book Club will be chatting about Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie on the Tuesday after break. 7/8 Book Club will be chatting about Devils Unto Dust on the Wednesday after break.
