Daily School Procedures

To report an absence, call the attendance line at 317-594-4126.

Students are allowed 8 days absent for the first semester and 16 days absent for the year. Any absences beyond the allowable absences will be unexcused unless you have a medical note. Attendance Letters will be sent to parents notifying them of these absences.

• Early dismissals should be called in by 9:00 am to the attendance line at 317-594-4126. This allows the staff adequate time to facilitate the request for dismissal.
• Immediate dismissals take more time to locate and dismiss your student. Please call as early as possible to avoid any delays. · Only family members and individuals listed on the student's approved Skyward list can pick up the student. In the student's Skyward account under the Student Info tab, you may list people approved by you, to pick up your student.
• You must enter the building to sign out the student. A valid photo ID must be shown when picking up the student.
• Email notifications for absences/dismissals are not accepted.
• Medical documentation for absences for appointments is strongly encouraged.
• 3:45 pm is the latest Early Dismissal permitted.

• Late arrivals should be called in by 9:00am to the attendance line at 317-594-4126.
• Students do not need to be escorted into the building for late arrivals to school. They will sign themselves in and given a pass to return to class.

The office does not need notification of transportation changes. For last-minute changes during the school day that your child is unaware of please call the office at 317-594-4120.

A drop-off table is in the Door 1 vestibule. You do not need to come into the office to drop off student items. Please complete a green slip with the student's first and last name and grade. If you indicated a text was NOT sent to the student, a note will be delivered to them. They can retrieve the items from the student pick-up bookcase in the Office.

Restaurant drink and food delivery for students is not allowed into the building by anyone, including parents during school hours. Students arriving at school with drinks or food will be asked to discard before entering classrooms.

We do not allow flowers/gifts/balloons to be delivered to students in the building. The delivery person will be turned away and the student will not receive the item(s).
